Service Areas

  • User Services Section

This section orients, supports and renders collections accessible to users through the search, use, access, reference and consultation of the resources of the Library, whether in a printed or nonprinted media or an electronic format, be it online or compact discs. Another of its main functions is interlibrary loans and circulation.

  • Specialized Services

This Section is responsible for the selection, acquisition and cataloguing of bibliographical resources. It selects the publications for the bibliographical and subject development of the various collections. It registers and updates the publications and renders them accessible to the user via the online public catalogue, which contains the bibliographical information necessary for research. This function is carried out by describing the resources physically, classifying them under the Library of Congress classification system, and grouping them into the shelves by collection, jurisdiction and subject.

  • Assistive Technologies Center

We've created the Center of Assistive Technology for People with Disabilities at our Legislative Library. The center has been equipped with a variety of assistive technologies, including furniture, hardware and software.
